Money Tree (Pachira) in a White Pot

The money tree, or pachira, is known for its braided trunk and bright green, hand-shaped leaves, and in feng shui it is believed to bring luck and prosperity. That makes it a favourite gift for a new business, a new office, a promotion or a housewarming. Planted in a clean white pot, it looks smart on a desk or a shelf, and it is easy to care for, so it keeps growing long after the occasion. A meaningful thank-you for a client or colleague as well. What is actually in it

1 money tree (Pachira aquatica) in a white polymer pot 12 cm high and 13.5 cm wide. Overall height 30 to 40 cm. Plant shape can vary slightly.

What it looks like on day four

The money tree is a slow-growing, long-lived houseplant. With the simple care above it stays green for years and gradually grows taller.

We photograph every listing on the bench under daylight. The image you are looking at is the arrangement, not a mood board.

Give the money tree bright, indirect light; a little morning sun is fine, but strong midday sun can scorch the leaves. Water when the top few centimetres of soil are dry, then let excess water drain away, as soggy roots are the main thing that harms it. Turn the pot now and then so it grows evenly, and keep it away from cold draughts and radiators.

The five things that actually matter

1. Recut the stems. Two centimetres off at a 45° angle, under running water if you can. Air locks in the stem are the main cause of early droop.
2. Strip leaves below the waterline. Submerged foliage rots and turns the water bacterial within a day.
3. Change the water, do not just top it up. Every two days, with the sachet we include.
4. Keep them away from fruit. Ripening fruit releases ethylene, which ages cut flowers dramatically faster.
5. Cool and out of direct sun. A radiator or a sunny windowsill will halve the vase life of anything.

We deliver in our own vans with our own drivers. That is more expensive than handing it to a parcel courier, and it is the reason 98.2% of orders land inside the window you chose.

Substitution policy

Fresh flowers are an agricultural product. Occasionally the market does not have what we planned for, especially with seasonal stems like peonies. When that happens we do one of two things, and never anything else:

• Message you on WhatsApp before dispatch with the alternative we propose, so you can approve it or cancel for a full refund.
• If there is no alternative you are happy with, you can cancel for a full refund. We will not quietly send something different and hope you do not notice.

Cancellations

Change or cancel free until 18:00 the day before delivery. After that the flowers are cut and conditioned specifically for your order, so cancellation is not possible. This is the perishable-goods exception under distance-selling rules, and it is stated again at checkout before you pay.
