Same-Day Flower Delivery in Istanbul: What the Cutoff Times Really Mean

A "same-day delivery" badge means nothing without a cutoff time attached to a time zone. Here is how same-day actually works across Istanbul.

Same-Day Flower Delivery in Istanbul: What the Cutoff Times Really Mean

"Same-day delivery" is printed on almost every flower site's homepage, which makes it close to meaningless on its own. The number that matters is the cutoff time, the last moment an order can be placed and still go out today, and the time zone that cutoff is quoted in. A site that says "order by 6pm" without specifying whose 6pm is giving you a promise it can't actually keep for a customer three time zones away.

How our cutoff works

We publish nine fixed delivery windows across the day, the same nine windows in all 39 districts we cover, there's no quieter or busier zone that gets special treatment. The last same-day window closes at 18:00 Istanbul time. An order placed at 17:45 Istanbul time still goes out today. An order placed at 18:15 goes out first thing tomorrow, in the earliest window, not at the back of a queue.

Why the delivery zone doesn't change the cutoff

From the shop

A common assumption is that delivery outside the historic centre, further out toward the edges of the metropolitan area, must have an earlier cutoff or a slower window. In our case it doesn't: the nine windows and the 18:00 same-day cutoff are identical whether the address is in central Beyoğlu or a district near the city limits. What can differ between zones is whether a small delivery fee applies, not the timing.

What actually causes a missed same-day delivery

In practice, it's almost never the courier. It's the order arriving after the cutoff because the sender was calculating in their own time zone instead of Istanbul's, or an incomplete delivery address (see our note on hotels and offices), or a payment step that stalled. If a delivery genuinely needs to arrive today, place the order as early in the day as you can and double-check the recipient's exact address, including floor or room number.

See today's same-day eligible arrangements, or check delivery windows for a specific district before you order.

Frequently asked

What time is the same-day cutoff?

Eighteen hundred (18:00) Istanbul time, across all nine delivery windows and all 39 districts we cover.

Does the cutoff change by delivery zone?

No. The nine windows and the 18:00 cutoff are identical everywhere, only a small delivery fee can differ by zone, not the timing.

What usually causes a missed same-day delivery?

Almost never the courier. It's usually the sender calculating in their own time zone instead of Istanbul's, or an incomplete delivery address.
