Help & FAQ
Written by the people who answer the phone, so the answers match what we would actually tell you.
Ordering
No. Guest checkout is the default and it is not hidden behind a “continue as guest” link buried at the bottom. An account is only useful if you order regularly — it saves an address book and lets you reorder in two taps.
Three months for standard arrangements, longer for weddings and events. For anything more than two weeks out we recommend picking a style rather than a specific bouquet, because we cannot promise a particular variety that far ahead and would rather not lock you into one.
Yes, and it is often cheaper than you expect. Call the shop, describe what you want or send a photograph, and a florist will tell you within a few minutes whether it is possible this week and what it would cost. Bespoke work starts around ₺2,500.
Yes, by a florist, onto a letterpress card, in fountain pen. It is free and there is no character limit worth worrying about at 250 characters.
Two things to know. We copy your message exactly as typed, including any typos — so read the live preview. And we do not add a “from” line automatically, because guessing how somebody wants to sign off is a good way to get it wrong. Sign it yourself in the message field.
Sizes & substitutions
Stem count, not a vague notion of size:
- Classic — 18 to 22 stems. Fits a standard 20–25cm vase. This is the size in most of our photographs.
- Generous — 30 to 36 stems. Noticeably fuller; needs a wider-mouthed vase.
- Grand — 48 to 55 stems. A statement. Usually bought for entrances, milestone birthdays and apologies.
If a listing photograph shows a larger size than Classic, the caption says so. We do not photograph the Grand and sell you the Classic.
We email you a photograph of the proposed alternative before we dispatch, and you can approve it or cancel for a full refund. Substitutions are always equal or greater in value and within the same colour family.
If no acceptable substitute exists we call rather than email. This happens perhaps twenty times a year, almost always with peonies or garden roses at the edges of their season.
Very close, and closer than you will get almost anywhere else — but flowers are grown, not manufactured. Two honest caveats:
- Colour drifts. Hydrangea in particular shifts with soil chemistry; a blue head in June may be closer to lilac in August.
- Openness varies. We cut peonies and lilies tight so they open in the recipient’s home. On arrival day they will look smaller and more closed than the listing photograph, which shows them at day three.
Delivery
Same-day is available everywhere in Istanbul as long as you can still book one of the day's nine fixed delivery windows (09:00–22:00) at checkout, once a window's start time passes it simply disappears from the list, so the cutoff is whatever window is still showing. Full detail is on the delivery areas page.
These are hard cutoffs, not marketing. Once a window is gone from the list, the van has effectively already committed to that route.
It's free — on every order, to every district we deliver to, with no minimum order size.
Not through the website checkout — each basket goes to one address. For multiple recipients either place separate orders, or if there are more than ten, talk to us about bulk gifting, where you upload a spreadsheet and we handle the rest.
Care
Six to nine days for most hand-tied bouquets with basic care. Tulips and peonies are shorter at five to seven. Chrysanthemums, carnations and orchids run much longer — two weeks and eight to twelve weeks respectively. Dried arrangements last a year or more.
If a bouquet gives you less than five days, that is a fault and the freshness guarantee covers it.
Yes, and this matters. Lilies are severely toxic to cats — pollen, petals and even vase water can cause kidney failure. Do not send lilies to a household with a cat, and tell us if there is one.
Tulips, hydrangea and chrysanthemum are mildly toxic to cats and dogs if eaten. Roses, sunflowers, orchids and gerbera are safe. Add a note at checkout and we will steer the arrangement accordingly at no charge.
Sugar for energy, an acidifier to help water move up the stem, and a small amount of biocide to slow bacterial growth. It genuinely works and is worth using. Half a sachet per litre; a second sachet is included for the water change.
Payment & cancellation
Free until 18:00 the day before the delivery date — date, address, card message or the arrangement itself. After that the stems have been cut and conditioned specifically for your order and it is final.
This is the perishable-goods exception to the standard distance-selling cooling-off period. It is stated on the product page and again at checkout, because burying it would be a cheap trick.
Card payment through Stripe, and PayPal. Both accept cards issued outside Turkey, so you do not need a Turkish bank account or phone number to order. Corporate accounts can still arrange invoice terms by calling the shop.
When you place the order. You are taken to a secure Stripe or PayPal page, and the delivery window is reserved the moment the payment is approved. If a payment fails we WhatsApp or call you before we do anything else.
Sympathy orders
Four ways. The packaging is plain with no branding on the box. The driver does not request a signature or announce a “delivery for you”. The checkout hides add-on suggestions and “customers also bought”. And we time the delivery to the service rather than to a four-hour window.
You do not have to ask for any of this. Choosing anything from the sympathy category turns it all on automatically.
Short is better than eloquent. “Thinking of you, and of David. — Anna and Tom” does more work than three sentences. Name the person who died if you knew them; it is almost always welcome.
If you are stuck, call the shop. This is a conversation we have several times a week and nobody will find it awkward.
To the funeral home if you know the service details and want the flowers present at it. To the home in the weeks after, when the immediate rush has passed and the house is quiet — that timing is often more appreciated and almost nobody thinks of it.
Some faiths and families ask for donations instead of flowers. If the notice says so, respect it.
Still stuck?
A florist answers the phone between 08:00 and 19:00. Most questions take under two minutes and you will not be put in a queue.
