Peace Lily & Chrysanthemum in Turquoise Column Pot

This arrangement pairs a peace lily, which prefers indirect light, with round green button chrysanthemums in a turquoise column-shaped concrete pot. Pampas grass, wheat stalks and beige lagurus plumes add a soft texture and a neutral, natural richness, while a single white rose brings a note of quiet refinement alongside sprigs of mirkeladus and eucalyptus. A dried lotus pod frames the base of the pot with a natural, earthy look. What is actually in it

This arrangement combines a peace lily (Spathiphyllum) with green button chrysanthemums, a white rose, pampas grass, wheat stalks, beige lagurus, eucalyptus, mirkeladus and a dried lotus pod, presented in a turquoise column-shaped concrete pot roughly 7.5 cm tall. The overall arrangement stands 15 to 20 cm. Small dark marks on the outer petals of the rose are a natural trait of this variety, not a flaw.

What it looks like on day four

The peace lily and chrysanthemum are potted plants rather than cut flowers, so this gift lasts for months rather than days, considerably longer than a cut bouquet, while the single rose typically looks its best for the first week.

Peace lilies prefer indirect light rather than direct sun, so keep the pot somewhere bright but shaded. The soil should stay lightly moist at all times without becoming waterlogged, and the plant does best between 10°C and 28°C. With regular watering and the right light, this arrangement will stay healthy and glossy for a long time.

The five things that actually matter

1. Recut the stems. Two centimetres off at a 45° angle, under running water if you can. Air locks in the stem are the main cause of early droop.
2. Strip leaves below the waterline. Submerged foliage rots and turns the water bacterial within a day.
3. Change the water, do not just top it up. Every two days, with the sachet we include.
4. Keep them away from fruit. Ripening fruit releases ethylene, which ages cut flowers dramatically faster.
5. Cool and out of direct sun. A radiator or a sunny windowsill will halve the vase life of anything.

Substitution policy

Fresh flowers are an agricultural product. Occasionally the market does not have what we planned for, especially with seasonal stems like peonies. When that happens we do one of two things, and never anything else:

• Substitute a stem of equal or greater value in the same colour family, and email you a photograph before dispatch so you can approve it or cancel for a full refund.
• If no acceptable substitute exists, we call you. We will not quietly send something different and hope you do not notice.

Cancellations

Change or cancel free until 18:00 the day before delivery. After that the flowers are cut and conditioned specifically for your order, so cancellation is not possible — this is the perishable-goods exception under distance-selling rules, and it is stated again at checkout before you pay.
