Double-Stem Purple Orchid in a White Pot
Two stems of deep purple phalaenopsis in a white polymer pot, sixty to seventy centimetres tall and in flower for months.
Two stems rather than one is what separates this from an ordinary orchid: the plant reaches sixty to seventy centimetres and carries roughly twice the flowers, so it holds a room on its own. The colour is a deep magenta-purple, less common than white and read in Turkey as the more distinguished choice. Phalaenopsis orchids keep their flowers for two to three months and then bloom again from the same stem, which makes this one of the few gifts still standing a season later. It is a safe and serious choice for a birthday, a promotion, a new office or an anniversary, and it is the plant we would send when we do not know the recipient's taste.
What is actually in it
One double-stem purple phalaenopsis orchid in a white polymer pot twelve centimetres high and thirteen and a half wide. Overall height sixty to seventy centimetres. Stem count, exact wrap and pot finish can vary slightly with seasonal availability.
What it looks like on day four
This is a living plant rather than a cut arrangement, so it does not have a vase life. Kept in the right light and watered properly it stays with the recipient for months or years, and the decorative pot remains long after that. Leaf size and the exact number of open flowers vary from plant to plant.

Orchids like a bright room but never direct sun, which burns the leaves; behind a light curtain is close to ideal. Water sparingly, roughly once a week, by letting water run through and drain away completely rather than leaving the roots sitting in it. Silver-green roots mean it is thirsty, plump green roots mean it is fine. Kept like this, a phalaenopsis holds its flowers for two to three months and will flower again from the same stem.
The five things that actually matter
- Recut the stems. Two centimetres off at a 45° angle, under running water if you can. Air locks in the stem are the main cause of early droop.
- Strip leaves below the waterline. Submerged foliage rots and turns the water bacterial within a day.
- Change the water, do not just top it up. Every two days, with the sachet we include.
- Keep them away from fruit. Ripening fruit releases ethylene, which ages cut flowers dramatically faster.
- Cool and out of direct sun. A radiator or a sunny windowsill will halve the vase life of anything.

Substitution policy
Fresh flowers are an agricultural product. Occasionally the market does not have what we planned for, especially with seasonal stems like peonies. When that happens we do one of two things, and never anything else:
- Substitute a stem of equal or greater value in the same colour family, and email you a photograph before dispatch so you can approve it or cancel for a full refund.
- If no acceptable substitute exists, we call you. We will not quietly send something different and hope you do not notice.
Cancellations
Change or cancel free until 18:00 the day before delivery. After that the flowers are cut and conditioned specifically for your order, so cancellation is not possible — this is the perishable-goods exception under distance-selling rules, and it is stated again at checkout before you pay.
