Three things that decide whether it arrives
The ward matters more than the street address
Istanbul hospitals are large, often several buildings with separate entrances. A street address on its own is not enough. The full name of the patient, the department and the room number get the flowers to the right floor. Without them the courier ends up at an information desk with no way to search.
Not every ward accepts flowers
Intensive care and many post-operative units do not allow flowers or plants in the room. That rule belongs to the hospital, not to us. If the patient is in one of them, we hand the arrangement to a relative or leave it at the ward desk to be taken home, and we tell you which of the two happened instead of marking it delivered and moving on.
Visiting hours shape the delivery window
Many hospitals allow visitors only in fixed afternoon and evening hours, and a courier arriving outside them can be turned away at the entrance. Choose a window inside visiting hours where you know them. If you do not, tell us and we will aim for the afternoon.
What we need from you
A hospital delivery needs a little more than a home address. The more of this you can give us, the smaller the chance the bouquet sits at a reception desk.
- The full name of the patient, as the hospital has it registered.
- The name of the hospital and, if you know it, the department or ward.
- The room or bed number if you have it.
- A phone number for the patient or for a relative who is with them.
- Your message for the card, and whether you want your name on it.
What works well in a hospital room
Hospital rooms are small and often shared, and heavily scented flowers are not always welcome in them. A potted plant needs no vase, takes up less space and goes home with the patient after discharge, which is why it is the most common choice for a hospital stay.
